Athlete conversations: Katie Toft

June 8, 2020

Katie Toft is a five-times para-cycling world champion for the C1 class.

She won gold in the individual pursuit at the 2018 para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio.

Later that year, she took gold in both the individual road time trial and road race in her class at the Para-cycling Road World Championships in Italy.

At the 2019 Para-cycling Track World Championships, Katie successfully defended her individual pursuit title and also added gold in the scratch race.

She is in the 'at risk' category during the current pandemic, so we caught up with her in the latest of our Athlete Conversations videos to find out how she's been training and staying motivated during lockdown.

You can also watch all our previous Athlete Conversation videos with Jess Turner, Mia Slevin, Hannah Barnden, Alex Knibbs and Jessica Piasecki on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport YouTube channel.
